Lola Shoneyin

Lola Shoneyin has written three books of poems. In her debut novel, The Secret Lives of Baba Segi’s Wives, she explores the dynamics of a modern day polygamous home in Nigeria.  A fellow of the Iowa international Writers Programme, Shoneyin lives in Nigeria where she is a deputy principal at an international school. She is married with four children and three dogs.

She has authored: So All the Time I was Sitting on an Egg <1997>, Song of a Riverbird <2002>, For the Love of Flight <2010>.
